The Brighton Bar

We played first tonight. We didn't draw to many people but it was a Wednesday and Monmouth College had their graduation today. We played pretty good. As soon as we finished John headed back up north to see the new Star Wars movie. We played with The Arcade Academy. After they played I went to the Celtic Cottage and hung out. We didn't sell to much merch, but we are playing there again June 17th.

The Alehouse

We went to Bull Moose and a comic book shop. We then headed to The Alehouse. We got there around 3pm because the show would start at 4pm.. But Jake the promoter decided to cancel the show because the last to shows that it rained he lost money so we headed home early. We got back to Neils around 9pm.

Bates College

Ryan(guitar/vocalist of TMS) and I arrived to Bates around 5:30, we were a little late but Ricker and the Sexecutioners were playing. After Ricker played we went on. We played well, no big fuckups. We sold a couple of Cds which I consider good for a college. It is probably the last time we will play Bates b/c Mark from TMS is graduating. After the show we headed to Portland to a hotel but the first hotel claimed they were full. We found another hotel and had entirely too much fun. Carl slept on top of the TV cabinet. We played with around 10 bands tonight and the only one I liked beside TMS was a band from Boston called Aberdeen City. They kind of sounded like a cross between Interpol and The Killers, They were great and I hope we play with them again.

The Sad Cafe

We got to the Sad at around 6:30, we left Neils around 1:30. It was a long drive, a lot of traffic. Loaded in, we played 3rd. Mikey danced around in a chicken costume. We messed up the first couple songs a little bit but the rest of the set was good. We tried "That thing you do" from the movie of the same name. We played well for only practicing the song once. The kids really seamed to dig us, we sold 12 CDs which is awesome. The kids up here seem to like us a bit more than down home. We're playing Bates tomorrow night with the Scale, and a bunch of other bands.....til next time..

The Brighton Bar

The Minus Scale got to my house around 4pm. We went to Pt. Pleasant to the boardwalk. We got back to my house and hung out a little bit and then headed up to Long Branch. We stopped at Pathmark to stock up on groceries for the rest of the tour. We got to the Brighton Bar around 8:15pm. Their were five bands playing tonight with us(Fairmont) and The Minus Scale playing the last 2 slots. First was the Arcade Academy, followed by and all girl band Avery, then a stoner-rock band called Tilt-a-whirl. We played well and Jacko (the promoter) seemed to really enjoy us. TMS stayed at my house for the night so we stopped at the Blue Swan diner on the way back to my house. The crowd was surprisingly good considering it was a Tuesday night. They seemed to dig us and they actually wanted an encore so we played "Sometimes I'm Bitter" -Til next time...

G106.3 FM (pre-recorded segment for radio)

We arrived at the station around 3pm and set up inside the studio. The DJ(Dave) interviewed us first for a little while then we played a few songs live in the studio. It's supposed to air next week.

April 15, 2005 Bergenfield, NJ

A's Sports bar

We arrived around 9pm. The staff didn't know any bands were playing there tonight. The promoter of the show didn't even show up. There were supposed to be five bands playing but apparently three of them dropped off the show so it was only us and Highfall. We played and Highfall played and then we all left. We played fairly well even though the sound was lacking. We did play a few new songs that people were commenting us on. Overall the show kinda sucked but we managed to make it a little fun.

April 3, 2005 New York, NY

Club Sin-E

We left Neil's for the club around 4:30 because we were supposed to be at the club for load-in and soundcheck at 6pm and there is usually a lot of traffic. We got to the club right around 5pm. The sound guy showed up a few minutes later. We then loaded in and then got a sound check. Sine is a pretty cool bar great vibe and everyone that was there was really nice. We met the fist band that was playing(I forget their name) and it turns out that they have played at Bates College with The Minus Scale. Tonight was our first official show as a three piece. We played really well and people seemed to like us. We also met Jen, she is going to help manage us and other stuff. She seemed cool, we'll see how things go with her.

April 1, 2005 Wyckoff, NJ

Grace Church

Tonight was Kevin's official last show with Fairmont. Got to the church around 6:30 for load in. The first band was called Plan-A, think Soul Asylum meets Hootie and the Blowfish. The were from Knoxville, TN and on tour. We played 2nd. A pretty fun crowd but there was a show in the next town over so there were not as many kids there as usual. We played well but made a few mistakes, nothing catastrophic. We did sell a bunch of merch. It was also Hambones birthday....til next time.

March, 4, 2005 Passaic Park, NJ

The Loop Lounge

"Hell is Other People" CD release show !!

Got to the Loop around 9pm. We loaded in and got a quick soundcheck. We played with Ape Fight, The Finals and Spiraling. All the bands sounded great and we actually played quite well. They projected the movie "Freaks" behind us. Tonight is one of Kevins last shows playing with us, then we will be a three piece for a while. We sold a couple CD's...til next time.

Feb. 26 2005. Plaistow, NH

The Sad Cafe

Got to the Sad Cafe around 5pm. We loaded in and watched Emberset. Tonights show was one of many to "Save the Sad Cafe" The venue need to raise funds to keep having shows. Hopefully they can raise the money and stay open. Anyhow, we played forth and sounded good. The Sad Cafe records every bands set so we listened to it on the way home and we need to make some improvements. We sold a bunch of merch which is typical for the Sad Cafe. We ended up leaving right after we played because we all had work in the morning. We played with Emberset, The Minus Scale, Faraway, Ambry and a few others.

Feb. 25, 2005 Hampton, NH

Hobbs House

We got to the venue and helped The Minus Scale set up the PA. We loaded in and started a pool to see when Kevin would arrive. Neil won ten bucks. We played well and the kids seem to really like us. We sold some cd's and t-shirts. We aren't really a "moshing" kind of band but the audience seemed to think so, so that was fun. We played with Junction 18 and The Minus Scale and a few others. It was a good fun crowd, so far one of the better shows in NH.

Feb. 24, 2005 Nashua, NH

Club Drifters

We arrived in Nashua around 5pm. We went to the venue but they were closed so we walked around the town for a while. We found a bar so we had a drink. We went back to the club and they said to come back at 7pm...so we did. We walked around some more and found a bookstore/cafe had a cup of coffee and warmed up a bit. It was finally 7pm so we went back to the club and told us to wait for the sound guy. We ended up being on first so we loaded in and played as a three piece in front of the other bands that were playing. We loaded out right of way and headed to Lowell, MA to see The Minus Scale play a show. Didn't get paid or sell anything, we were in the local newspaper though.."Best show nobody ever heard" as said by Neil
